. . . . bringing ideas into reality.

Invention Process

==>From time to time, we all get ideas for a new product. Sometimes they just surface, but most of the time they are as a result of a situation we have found ourselves in, such as;
  1. You've encountered a problem and have an idea of how you may solve it in a new and/or different way.
  2. You're involved in an activity (music, hobby, sports, art, engineering, etc.) and a new, related concept comes into your head.
  3. The world is continuously changing and you have an improvement to an existing product that "fits" these changing times.
  4. A new idea has sprung into your head.

The process of inventing and developing an idea is relatively long and may involve many steps. Most people who have product brainstorms are totally unaware of the steps necessary to bring them about. Each person who conceptualizes an idea has a different goal or objective. Some want to manufacture, market, license, or patent it, or do it all. We can help you understand each step, what is needed, and assist you with all or any part of the new product process.

A few of the steps:

  • Evaluate the concept, explore the potential and pitfalls.
  • Define the product which evolves from the concept.  Look at the product, package, pricing, design, objectives.
  • Develop the product.  Set a timetable; prepare sketches, renderings, and/or prototype.
  • Create part drawings (basic engineering) that accurately reflect the idea, both in function and design. If the product has critical engineering concerns, prepare engineering drawings that the manufacturer will need to adhere to. Depending on the client's ultimate goal of, create packaging studies, both structural and graphically.
  • Finalize Bill of Materials. Create a Bill of Materials containing all information necessary to manufacture the product, including but not limited to specifications for plastics, metals, paper stocks, quantities, decoration, assembly instructions, age grade/safety requirements, HTS Codes, master carton pack, UPC, master carton markings, as needed.
  • Manage Final Art, Sales Materials, Show and Promotion materials.
  • Source and get costs and establish a projected wholesale.
