Welcome! Do you have an idea or invention and need product development assistance but don't know what to do next? Do you have a new item and need a manufacturer. You have found a good starting point. We are not an invention marketing firm but rather a resource available to inventors to help guide them through the product development process. Most inventors and entrepreneurs normally need some assistance with product development and sourcing at some time during the evolution of their idea. The Product Development Network was set up for just that. I have coupled my experience with that of my time tested associates, who have faced similar needs at some time in the past. As the Managing Director of The Product Development Network, with over 35 years of industry experience and leadership in consumer product development, 15 of which was working with Asia manufacturers, I have held positions as VP of R&D and Sourcing for Craft House, Inc., Director of R&D and New Business Development for Chartpak, Inc., Director of R&D for Peachtree Playthings, and Creative Products Director for Parker Brothers (games.) And, as an Industrial Designer with more than a dozen patents in the fields of toys, games, electronics, mechanisms, and packaging, I am very familiar with the world of invention and product development.
I personally manage the projects as they flow through The Product Development Network. Each prospective project is reviewed and discussed with the client before turning it over to the appropriate member of the team (Project Leader.) I then follow its progress and serve as the conduit between the client, the Project Leader, the Hong Office and China, as needed.
Accordingly, each client need only have one person with whom to communicate. Before any job is initiated, the client is given a project quote and a written introduction to the Project Leader along with his/her background info. Unfortunately, our talents are not always appropriate or timely for all projects and we must at times turn some down. When we accept a project, our value is our vast and varied experience which allows us to offer you a variety of services on a need basis without huge dollar commitments, and to provide you with a viable alternative to the so called invention marketing companies.
